Chemistry lab report

The project is very similar to other previous lab assignments. It is to write your own individual final project in the lab report format. The only difference between the previous lab assignments and the final project is that you are the chemist who makes your own project for your theoretical dry lab experiment. Literally, you are the organic chemist who decides everything in your own report in the same format that we used for the previous lab reports. You need to do this project by yourself without my help. It is all up to you.
In this project, you can choose any compounds to isolate from any fruit or any vegetable (except carrot).
Examples) isolation of lycopene from tomato, isolation of beta-carotene from spinach, isolation of caffeine from tea leaves or coffee beans, isolation of capsaicin from pepper, isolation of limonene from citrus fruits (lime, orange, lemon, etc.) or anything else that you want to isolate in your imaginary theoretical dry lab.
Lab Format (the same lab format as the previous lab reports)
Additionally, the report needs to be single-spaced and longer than at least 4pages. You may need to put a number of references to support your reasoning for your own procedure and arguments in the discussion. (However, use the online videos or pieces of literature as only supplementary information. You need to make your own procedure or make the modified version of the procedure.)
Most importantly, in the discussion, you need to explain why you use certain methods to isolate the compounds from the fruits in each step of the procedure. (among recrystallization, distillation, extraction, column chromatography, TLC or any other organic chemical methods) You do not have to do the percent yield since this is the imaginary theoretical dry lab.
